===================================== Dear !*FIRST_NAME*! First newsletter ! Genealogy, by its nature being International, this Web Site has been created in order to give researchers like yourself an opportunity to share your information, and to share in the information gleaned by others, during the course of research - be it in the U.K., Natal, the Eastern Cape, or anywhere else in the World. Obviously a Web Site evolves according to the needs of the people using it. I intend mailing a monthly Newsletter with mid month up-dates if necessary. I will welcome your comments and feedback to : comments@genealogyworld.net?Newsletter_comments What's new: 1) Rosemary DIXON-SMITH's pages offer a Natal Maritime theme including passenger lists, immigration, ships and shipwrecks, lighthouses, the history of the port and associated personalities, illustrated with photographs and paintings. 2) Graham MASON of The 1879 Group writes on Anglo-Zulu War topics and particularly about finding descendants of those who fought in that conflict. 3) Robin GRIFFITHS presents more of his famous Lists, including Transkei Traders of 1903 and names associated with the Explosive and Chemical Industries in S.A. Collection of family histories explored in depth. 4) Ellen STANTON has kindly offered to assist you if you're looking for Natal marriages between the dates 1895-1911. She's indexed the marriages for this period. She is also at present compiling a (partial) Natal shipping index. If you require her to look up an entry in the marriage or shipping indexes, please e-mail look_up@genealogyworld.net and I will pass on your request to Ellen. 5) Natal Marriage films - Adrian ROWE is encouraging the collection of more of these films to be kept in stock permanently in Durban. If you're interested in learning more about this project please don't hesitate to contact me. 6) "The Scribe" - contributed (humorous or otherwise) genealogy
