The 'King William' passenger list now has a report (written in November 1849) attached.
*An informative and well illustrated article bringing the ships at the time of the Byrne Settlers to life is: 'What were the Ships like?' by Rosemary.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
As a result of the question sent in by Alison Hunt re the Boer War Australian Nurse, Pat Frykberg has very kindly offered to do look-ups for anyone requiring information from the Sheila Gray book mentioned in the answer to Alison's question.
If you would like to add your question to this section, or request Pat to 'look-up' someone for you, please write to: editor@genealogyworld.net
ANGLO-ZULU WAR:
Graham Mason has added 2 new articles: 'The Fighting Clerk' and 'Sergeants at the Drift' - both of which, I am sure, many of you will enjoy reading.
NATAL MARRIAGES:
Adrian Rowe is making good progress on his Natal Marriages project. He reports that the number of volunteers to assist with this work is on the increase. However, he would be very pleased to have more help. If you are prepared to assist Adrian you can contact him on 031-764-4721 (after hours).

DIARY OF A NATAL MOLE:
In each edition of her monthly Diary, Rosemary imparts helpful suggestions to assist researchers. Of particular interest in October is her mention of the Illustrated London News Picture Library.

FAMILY TREE MAGAZINE
United Kingdom Publication
I am sure you are all familiar with the Family Tree Magazine and will, by now, have seen the 2 articles in the October issue re 'Research in South Africa'. Rosemary Dixon-Smith contributed the article on NAAIRS. Many of you noticed that a write-up and the Logo of Genealogy World also appeared.
Helen Tovey of Family Tree Magazine informs me that recent information added to Genealogy World will be included in the UPDATE section of a future magazine as soon as I inform her of the most recent updates to the website.
Shortly a 2 Part immigration article by Rosemary will also be appearing in this UK magazine. The title of the new article is: 'Sailing to South Africa'.
That's all for now,
Kind regards,
Delyse Brown
