===================================== Hello !*FIRST_NAME*! THE SETTLER HANDBOOK by MD NASH
Robin Griffiths has compiled the list from her Handbook, and it is now available on "Robin's Lists". This page is large (639 Kb) so please be patient while it loads, it also has a Search Script. Many of the descendants of the 1820 Settlers are scattered throughout Southern Africa and the world. As this book is now out of print, I am very aware of just what a valuable aid it will be to have this information on the Internet. Thanks to MD Nash for sharing the information and Robin Griffiths for compiling the list. All will now be able to refer to it easily. Every week at the LDS Genealogical Library, I recommend researchers use THE SETTLER HANDBOOK - so I know what an invaluable asset it is to those in search of information. I have used this book repeatedly myself. In fact, recently I was able to trace the origins of my ancestor - Samuel Taylor James (who arrived at the Cape in 1820) back into the late 1500's - as a result of using the information given by MD Nash in her excellent book. In view of this, I recently donated a copy of THE SETTLER HANDBOOK to the Wiltshire Local Studies Library, UK, who were very pleased to receive it. BEGINNER'S GUIDE

NATAL PASSENGER LISTS
Thanks to our Natal Mole I had much childish pleasure submitting "Gifford" into the 1851 JOHN LINE Passenger List and finding my ancester: Alexander Gifford and his family! Maybe you would like to find one of your ancestors in this way. I intend to add Natal Passenger Lists as fast as Rosemary can supply them. [We just need a few 'Doppelgangers' to help with the workload!] QUIZ
Kind Regards, Delyse Brown.
