The following is of interest to those researching the UK:
The Institute of Heraldic & Genealogical Studies

2011: The Last England and Wales Census?
The New Local Government Network, a think tank founded by local governments, has suggested that the England and Wales census should be stopped, claiming that it is a waste of money that is out of date as soon as it is published, insufficiently detailed, and underestimates the number of people living in Britain. The Institute, however, believes that the same could have been said of the 1841 census, and yet it is not without value. The next census is due to be taken on 27th March 2011, and those agencies responsible (ONS, NI Statistics & Research Agency, and GRO for Scotland) have been in consultation with the UK public at did we ask the right questions. The full statement of the NLGN suggests that it should be the last one.
Further information on 2011 is available from

"I have heard from a descendant of James Luke CHURCH that it was not Henry CHURCH, as listed in NASH, who eventually sailed with Owen's Party. His place was taken at the last minute by James Luke CHURCH and his wife Elizabeth GREENACRE, and there is a Memorial in his hand which proves this."

Recently Genealogy World received the below request from Euan Dodds:
He writes: "I am making a small not-for-profit educational film. Would it be possible to use some of the missionary images from your site?
We are producing a short feature - effectively a slide show with a voice over - which will be played to the general public. Our church occupies a central position in Glasgow and many tourists visit to look around. We are producing short, non-commercial films for display and distribution to inform people about the contribution of Scots to World Mission. The featured missionaries are cross-denominational; namely Livingstone, Slessor, Liddell, Ross, Duff and Moffat.

Thank you for the opportunity to use a few of your missionary images. I will of course credit your site at the end of the feature. I hope the research was profitable to you and hope it receives a wide audience."
