AN EAST COAST SERVICE

 

A service on the east coast, extending to Mozambique, and affording communication between Southampton, ports in the Cape Colony, Natal and Delagoa Bay, and Imhambane, Beira (pungwe River), Zambesi, Quillimane and Mozambique, has been established by the Union Steam Ship Company. This service will, for the present, be conducted once in six weeks.

 

PASSENGERS BY CAPE STEAMERS

 

Captain G. E. Giles (Adjutant of the Royal Guernsey Artillery) is traveling to Cape Town in the Roslin Castle, to make arrangements in connection with Lord Randolph’s tour in Mashonaland. The Dane is taking out the  bulk of the traveling equipage. His Lordship’s party will include Mr. H. C. Perkins, Mr. Swynydd Willyams, and a doctor. Next week’s mail steamer will take Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn, Mr. Albert Browne (of the Colonial Office), and Capt. Crewe to Cape Town. Mt. C. Ruping, of Kimberley, and Mr. S. P. Beare have booked passages to Cape Town by the Garth Castle, leaving Dartmouth on the 24th inst.
